Form making

The form is the matrix implied in industrial processes such as molding, deep drawing, and other: it Is what gives the final or intermediate form to the workpiece.

The form consists in a piece original steel, made up by a “female” shell and a “male” shell (counter form) which are inserted in a press: one at the base, the other in correspondence of the mobile component of the press itself, to impart the desired shape to the metal being worked, in a process called deep drawing.

The mechanical processes are directly related to the design of the finished piece and are an essential element of the whole production process.
